Help Kids in Need This Christmas: Support the Tinsel & Tires Bike Drive
At Tend Home Team, giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do. This year, we’re thrilled to announce the return of our Tinsel & Tires Bike Drive, collecting new bikes and helmets for kids ages 6–12 in support of The Forgotten Children’s Fund.
Imagine a child receiving their very first bike, the freedom, the joy, the adventure. With your help, we can make that holiday magic happen for kids right here in Western Washington.
Why We’re Collecting Bikes This Christmas
Many of us raised our kids’ riding bikes around the neighborhood, meeting friends at the park, and enjoying the freedom that comes with two wheels. Now we have an opportunity to give that same experience to children who might not otherwise receive a bike this holiday season.
The Forgotten Children’s Fund is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to delivering gifts and holiday cheer to children in need. Last year, they delivered over 20,000 gifts to more than 700 families across the region creating memories that last a lifetime.

How You Can Donate Bikes or Helmets
There are multiple ways to join the Tinsel & Tires Christmas Bike Drive and make a difference:

Local businesses can get involved by purchasing a bike and displaying it in their storefront, helping raise awareness for the drive. We can provide flyers, signage, and social media support to highlight your contribution. Every bike displayed encourages neighbors and customers to join the effort.
Why Your Support Matters
For children, a bike isn’t just a gift it’s freedom, independence, and joy. Volunteers share stories of kids whose faces light up when they realize the bike is truly theirs. Parents express deep gratitude, saying these gifts create memories that last far beyond the holiday season.
Our goal for 2025 is 50+ bikes by December 1st. With your help, we know we can reach it and bring smiles, laughter, and a sense of wonder to local children in need.
