First off, we want to thank everyone who participated in this year’s Third Annual Spring Dump Run! We had a great time getting out and about in the Seattle area to lend a hand in your Spring projects.

1. Often times we’re asked: why do we do this? Our answer is that we enjoy adding value to everyone we meet. We understand that over the course of a year people may accumulate items that may not go into the regular trash receptacle. Taken straight from our website, is our Vision/Mission statement: “Here at Team Troy we have found that when we make our only goal, that of making others around us better off than they were before they met us, then everything else just falls in line. This simple mindset protects us from the status quo in real estate, and keeps us obsessed with results.” We have the ability to help with this simple service of picking up the unwanted items, repurposing them, and reducing time, energy, and waist.
2. How can we afford to take time away from our business on a Saturday to do this event? The answer is really pretty simple. Because we have advocates like you! We thank you for promoting us, and our service level, to friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. We are NEVER too busy for even the simplest of questions. 3. Do we recycle anything? Actually 100% of all the items we picked up this year were recycled! We decided that the only responsible thing is to do is to be good stewards of what we have been given. The facility we took our items to this year sorts the wood, metal, carpet, and organic material and repurposes it. Very little goes to the landfill. This is more expensive, as you can imagine, than just taking all the items to the transfer station landfill. We feel this is the right thing to do. 4. Do we donate anything? Yes, yes we do! In addition to the 5 tons of recyclable materials, we delivered 1 full load to Goodwill.
